Holiday cantata

LEWISTON – Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, 62 Strawberry Ave., will offer a Christmas cantata from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18. The cantata, “The Gift Goes On,” will be performed by members of the church to welcome the Christmas season. All are invited and refreshments will be served after the program.

The Sunday, Dec. 25, worship service will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Christmas Day.

Lodge program

AUBURN – Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 50 Elm St. Everyone is to bring finger foods to share.

Instead of exchanging gifts, members will bring gifts and food items to be given to the Trinity Jubilee Soup Kitchen. A regular meeting will follow at 7.

Seniors dinner

AUBURN – The First Auburn Senior Citizens will have the annual Christmas dinner at Martindale Country Club on Wednesday, Dec. 21. The doors will open at 11 a.m. Gus Turbide will entertain at the keyboard.

The club met Dec. 7 at Hasty Community Center with 77 present. A new member, Richard Bubier, was introduced. Attendance winners were Gabriel Gorten and Gerry Brushwein; pot of gold, Betty Hebert, Gerry Brushwein and Guy Donahue.

Leavitt play

TURNER – The Leavitt Area High School Thespians will present Rogers and Hammerstein’s “The King and I” in the auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14. It is being directed by Renee Davis. Tickets are students/seniors, $5; adults, $8. For tickets or information, call Penny Appleby at 225-4371.
