AUBURN – As part of its Wellness 101 Series, the YMCA will offer a free yoga class for members and non-members. “Relax into the Holidays” will be offered from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21.

The class is free, but registration is required as size is limited. Register by Dec. 20 by calling or stopping by the YMCA. The class is a chance to get centered and remove stress at this busy time of the year.

Jim Melloh will lead the yoga class that uses gentle poses and relaxation techniques that will help participants slow down and make a true mind and body connection. Melloh is a certified Amrit Yoga instructor.

He has been a member of the YMCA for 12 years and has been practicing yoga for 12 years.

Mark Buck will assist with the class. Buck has been a member of the YMCA since 1998 and has been teaching yoga there since 2002.

The YMCA emphasizes that no prior yoga experience is necessary and that all levels of participants are welcome.

The Wellness 101 series is designed to introduce the principles of wellness issues that face society today. The YMCA’s goal is to help individuals in the L/A community make informed and educated decisions on healthy lifestyles. A new topic is covered every month and is open the public free.
