Running backs Aaron Chambers of Skowhegan, Ken Paul of Massabesic and John Wiechman of Bonny Eagle have been named finalists for the Fitzpatrick Trophy, which honors the top senior football player in the state.
The finalists were the top three vote getters among nine semifinalists, which included Leavitt quarterback/defensive back Tyler Angell and Mountain Valley fullback/linebacker Travis Fergola.
The award is voted on by coaches and members of the media. The winner will be announced at the annual banquet on Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.
