What a better way for St. Dominic RHS to celebrate school spirit than on All Saints Day! All Saints Day is celebrated on November 1st, the day after Halloween. This year students of St. Dom’s had a day off from classes and could dress down in their class’ attire. The seniors were assigned stripes, the juniors plaid, the sophomores polka dots, and the freshmen animal print. Many people went all out for their class by really getting into their apparel.

The rest of the day was filled with games and competitions between the classes. Each class chose a few kids to decorate a class banner and create a class cheer. There was a relay race, crab soccer, and a food eating contest (comprised of olives, mashed peas, anchovies, dried bananas, tomato juice, etc…). The seniors came out on top with the overall score, followed by juniors, sophomores, and freshmen. After the games, students gathered in the commons to watch Casper until the day ended.

After a late night on Halloween, this relaxing yet fun day was greatly appreciated. The students were able to celebrate not only the saints who lived long before them, but they were also able to celebrate the St. Dom’s saints of today, themselves!
