Celebration
BETHEL – New Year’s Bethel Celebration will feature five programs at four locations in Bethel Village on Saturday, Dec. 31. Activities include ecumenical service, crafts and activities for children a community bonfire, and horse-drawn wagon rides.
Advance tickets are: $10, adults; $8, ages 6 to 18; free, 5 and under; at the door, $12, $10 and free. For more information and schedule of events call 824-2908 or 1-800-824-2910.
Sunday service
NORWAY – The Sunday service for Jan. 1 at the First Universalist Church, Unitarian Universalist, 479 Main St., will be held at 11 a.m. Child care will be provided as well as a religious education program for children.
Choir practice will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday with Heather Pierson, music director. The service will be led by The Rev Robert Wolfe, retired Unitarian Universalist minister who lives in Auburn. His sermon title will be “Time After Time.”

New year service
PARIS – The First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, will celebrate the beginning of the year 2006 at the New Year’s Sunday service, Jan. 1. The 10 a.m. service will be a program of music featuring the choir, soloists and Forest Perkins at the organ.
The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.
