Church program

LEWISTON – St. Joseph’s Church Peace and Social Justice Commission will sponsor a presentation by Nicole Poirier of Catholic Relief Services at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, in the church hall.

Poirier, an Auburn native who is home for a brief visit, will speak on her experience and the activities of Catholic Relief Services in Chad, one of the poorest countries in Africa. All are welcome.

Fellowship

LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Area Widow Fellowship will meet on Monday, Jan. 9, at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street. The gathering will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed at noon with a potluck lunch. All interested widows in the area are invited.

Adoption meeting

AUBURN – Those interested in learning more about adopting from China are invited to attend the Great Wall China Adoption free informative workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Good Shepherd Food Bank Community Room, 3121 Hotel Rd., Ste. A. Attendees will receive a coupon for $25 off the application fee.
