LEWISTON – Erica Van Der Werf scored 2 goals and assisted on another to lead St. Dom’s to a 3-0 victory over Brunswick Monday in girls’ hockey action at the Colisee.

Following a scoreless opening period, Van Der Werf scored twice in the second chapter, with Brittany Michaud assisting each time. Michaud netted the final goal in the third period, assisted by Van Der Werf and Katherine Gallick.

Melissa Bourgoin goaled the shutout, called upon to make just 6 saves.

Brunswick Goalie Sarah Wyman faced a whopping 45 shots.

Maranacook Youth League

READFIELD – The EJP Mites of the Maranacook Youth Hockey League won 2 of 3 games in recent action. EJP dropped an 11-6 decision to Hannaford. Dylan Burton popped in 4 goals for the winners. Jared Cunningham added 3 and Brooke Michonski 2. Also lighting the lamp were Alexander Paul and Nicole MacMillian. Ryan Lutrzykowski and Paul Martha each scored twice for EJP. Peter Prescott and Cody Stockford tallied 1 each. Assists went to Stockford, and Hannaford’s Tyler Kimball. Jack Vickerson was the EJP goalie.

EJP outlasted Lewiston 8-6 as Stockford netted 4 goals and Lutrzykowski 2. Prescott and Martha each collected a goal. Prescott, Lutrzykowski and Stockford drew assists. Kyle Morin and Blayne Arsenault each scored twice for Lewiston. Ryan Gosselin also dented the twines. Assists went to Morin, Gosselin ad Cody Howe. Vickerson tended net for EJP as did Trevor Lachance for Lewiston.

EJP skated past Damariscotta Bank & Trust 6-1 as Lutrzykowski and Stockford each registered 2 goals. Martha and Davis Marshall scored the others. James Annis netted the lone Damariscotta goal, with Bailey McCaffery assisting. Prescott, Zach Phinney and Matt Welch drew assists for EJP.

Vickerson again donned the pads.
