Basket Bingo
WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock School fifth-graders are raising money for the annual spring trip to Boston in May.
They will spend the night and visit many places of historical, scientific and cultural significance.
A fundraising Basket Bingo will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Locke Mills Legion Hall. Doors will open at 11 a.m. The cost is $10 for 15 games.
Students are seeking donations for the event. For more information, call the school at 665-2228.
Christmas blues
PARIS – The First Universalist Church at 39 Pine St., South Paris, will have Sharon Bouchard as the speaker on Sunday, Jan. 8. Forest Perkins is the organist for the 10 a.m. service with a flute solo by Renee Wales.
Bouchard’s sermon is titled “White Christmas, Blue New Year,” in which she will delve into the post-Christmas blues.
Child care is provided and a brunch coffee hour will follow the service. All are invited and welcome.
