FARMINGTON – Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community will offer a 10-week “Creating Your Future” training from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays, Jan. 26 through April 6, at the Farmington Center for Women, Work and Community.

The training will offer tools to reach goals, whether they are a new job, educational opportunities or a career change. Participants will explore values and interests, identify transferable skills, look at ways a job affects personal finances and find out what new skills, education or training may be needed to fulfill a life plan.

An orientation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.

Women, Work and Community is a statewide nonprofit organization committed to improving the economic lives of Maine women and their families. The organization works with individuals “where they are” and provides them with support, guidance and the tools they need to take the next steps toward a more promising future.

Women, Work and Community provides individual assistance and group training in building careers, starting and growing businesses, planning for financial security and becoming community leaders. All services are free.
