Lodge lunch

LIVERMORE FALLS – Charity Rebekah Lodge will meet Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the home of Mildred Wright, 4 High St. Lunch will be served at 12:30, with Glennys Wilkins and Norma Lucarelli serving as hostesses. The regular meeting will follow at 1:30 p.m. Mildred Wright is in charge of the program and entertainment.

Salem concert

SALEM – The local country bluegrass group, A&E Hill Country Music, will present a concert at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Salem Community Building, weather permitting. The concert is sponsored by the Salem Pine Tree Club.

College workshop

WILTON – Adults considering college are invited to participate in a free college-planning workshop sponsored by the Maine Educational Opportunity Center. The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Wilton Career Center, 865 Route. 2E.

Unlike student financial aid programs, which help students overcome financial barriers to higher education, the center provides support services to help students from low income and working families enter college.

Services include assistance in choosing a college, tutoring, personal and financial counseling, career counseling, assistance in applying to college, workplace and college visits and assistance in applying for financial aid.

Church supper

FARMINGTON – Trinity United Methodist Church will hold a public supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the church on the Farmington Falls Road. The menu will include baked beans, casseroles, salads, biscuits and pies.
