Auburn-Lewiston YMCA and Wilton Rec are tied for the sunberth in the Boys Division of the Western Maine Youth Basketball League (Grades 5-6), both with 6-0 marks.
YMCA picked up 2 wins in recent action. Corbin Hyde scored 16 and Jake Downing 8 as YMCA beat AYS of Jay-Livermore. Nate Hamblin and Jake Richards netted 4 each for AYS.
The Twin Cities cagers also edged Turner 49-47 as Hyde collected 15 and Brad Chicoine 10. Jordan Hersom poured in 21 for Turner. Tyler Walton added 18.
Wilton defeated Mexico Rec 52-34 as Nick Hilton and Eric Berry each popped 16. Adam Volkernick and Kyle Duguay both scored 9 for Mexico.
In other action, Lewiston Rec squeezed out a 38-37 win over Mexico Rec. Jeff Turcotte (18) and Ryan Rossignol (10) sparked the winners. Issac Roberts paced Mexico with 17. Ryan Nicols added 7.
Jacob Theriault collected 20 points and Josh Turbide 11 as Dixfield Rec defeated North Franklin 54-23. Ben Holmes scored 17 for Franklin.
Auburn Rec climbed into the win column for the first time with a 38-14 victory over Lisbon Rec. Dalton Roberts led Auburn with 12 points. Brady Innes was next with 8. Ben Randell and Zach Spluze each tallied 2 for Lisbon.
Maranacook beat Turner.
