ANSON – Clark and Beverly Rawson of Anson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 15 at a gathering at the First Congregational Church of North Anson. Party hosts were their five children.

Mrs. Rawson’s original wedding dress was on display as well as many of their artifacts from their travels around the world.

Mr. Rawson and the former Beverly Pratt, formerly of Auburn, were married on Dec. 31, 1955, at the First Baptist Church in Covina, Calif.

Their children are Becky Anderson and her husband, Dan of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Steve Rawson of Anson, Eva-Marie Davis and her husband, David of Abingdon, Md., Lisa Rawson of North New Portland, and Chuck Rawson of Augusta. Their grandchildren are Andrew Rawson, Eli Saville, Ethan Saville and Rhiannon Davis.

Mrs. Rawson was previously employed as a telephone operator with Bell Telephone and was a housewife.

Mr. Rawson has worked for various companies during his 40-year career as a telephone engineer.

Over 100 guests attended the party from California, Florida, Maryland, New Hampshire and Maine, including original wedding attendants.
