Curtis Bateman of Auburn received his bachelor of arts degree in classical archaeology from Bowdoin College in May 2005. He is attending George Washington University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in Washington, D.C., pursuing a master’s degree in museum studies with a concentration in collections management and ancient archaeology.

Bateman is an intern in the Office of the Curator of the U.S. Supreme Court, assisting in preserving the court’s extensive archives, artwork and decorative arts. Other duties include managing the visitors’ center and conducting lecture tours of the courtroom.

Bateman is a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School Class of 2001. He is the son of James and Catherine Bouquet of Auburn and Eric Bateman of Long Beach, Calif.
