Coffeehouse

DIXFIELD – The Coffeehouse has an evening of music schedules for Saturday, Jan. 28. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church on High Street.

Side By Side, the duo of Lorrie Farrari and Tony Scucci, will perform. For more than 16 years the two entertainers have been performing harmonies and arrangements throughout New England.

Admission is $5 for adults; children under 12 are free. The show will start at 7 p.m. There will be hot gourmet coffees, tea and soda available for purchase along with homemade desserts. For more information, call Lora at 562-8575 or e-mail delo54@gwi.net.

Lunch and learn

RUMFORD – SeniorsPlus Lunch and Learn Series on Friday, Jan. 27, will include crafts at 10:15 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Dinning Center, 50 Congress St.

Menu will include fish, au gratin potatoes, spinach, bread, blueberry shortcake and beverage. Cost is $2.50 donation for lunch for those 60 and over, their spouses, people with disabilities and volunteers; $4 for those under 60.

Transportation is available through WMTS by calling 364-2135.

Club support

MEXICO – The Trail Blazers will hold nomination of officers on Wednesday, Feb. 1, and election on Wednesday, Feb. 15.. The positions that need to be filled are vice presidents, trail master, treasurer and secretary.

If the positions cannot be filled, the club will no longer be able to run. No club means no trails.

Those who ride a snowmobile and live in the Mexico area and would like to see the club continue are invited to attend the 7 p.m. meeting Feb. 1 at the Mexico Town Hall. Those who own a snowmobile and live in Mexico can support the club by joining. Memberships application will be available at the meeting. For more information, call Nick Brown at 364-8665.

Donated cartridges

RUMFORD – Rumford Lodge of Elks 862, along with the Maine Elks Association, is accepting donated toner and inkjet cartridges for the Cartridges for Cancer Cures program. Donated cartridges will be recycled, with the proceeds to be given to the Maine Children’s Cancer Program. For details, call Debi Briggs at 364-2479 or Exalted Ruler Sandee Welch at 364-2548.
