AUBURN – The St. Louis Booster Club recently awarded $5,000 in scholarships to seven members of St. Louis Parish. The club was created in 1974 to support interest in youths in the parish. The awards were made as follows:

Christina Desjardins is a 2003 graduate of Edward Little High School. She was born and raised in New Auburn and is a member of St. Louis Parish. Desjardins is a junior at Fitchburg State College, Fitchburg, Mass., majoring in communications. She is the daughter of Dan and Carol Desjardins of Auburn.

Nick Cote is a third-year student majoring in communications at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H. Cote is a 2003 graduate of Edward Little High School and is the son of Rick and Sue Cote of Auburn.

Michelle Brodeur is a sophomore at the University of Maine. She is studying marine biology and is a member of the Honors College. In her free time, she participates in the pep band and concert band and is a member of the dance club. She is the daughter of Fred and Martha Brodeur of Auburn.

Matthew Roberge is a senior at the University of Maine in Portland and will graduate in May of 2006. He is enrolled as a business major. Roberge graduated from Edward Little High School in 2001. He enjoys golfing and fishing.

Evan Gagne is attending Eastern Maine Community College. He is a senior, majoring in refrigeration, air conditioning and heating. He is a dean’s list student and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Beta international honor society in April 2005. Gagne is a 2004 Edward Little High School graduate and is the son of Sue and Harvey Gagne of Auburn.

Pamela Yomoah of Auburn is attending the University of Southern Maine, and Mike Guerin of Minot is attending Springfield College in Massachusetts.
