RUMFORD – The River Valley Technology Center, the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce will present a new series of business lunch and learn seminars.

The second in a series of six will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St. The cost of $10 includes a lunch. Prepayment is required; there will be no refunds. Preregistration is required by calling Beverly at 369-0396 or e-mail beverly@rvgc.org by Monday, Feb. 13.

The second topic will be “Business Planning – Part II” presented by Bob Kasputas. He is director for Maine Small Business Development Center at Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments in Auburn. Kasputas has experience in business management as well as business ownership.

The workshop will provide an overview of the options for business structures and the tax implications for each.

The seminars are intended to provide information to entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing businesses in an affordable way. Anyone can gather resources and information for long-term success. In addition, the seminars are intended to facilitate networking among businesses or entrepreneurs in similar activities.
