POLAND – Jen Dionne nailed a pair of fouls shots in overtime Tuesday as Poland edged Cape Elizabeth 45-42 in nail-biting WMC girls’ matchup.

Paige Piper poured in 10 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter to help the Knights (4-11) rally to send the game into overtime. Dionne tallied 10 points, while Katherine Hall netted seven points and hauled down 10 rebounds.

Cape Elizabeth (3-12) was paced by Brenna Balfour with a game-high 22 points.

GPC 49, Rangeley 42

PORTLAND – Casey Eastwood poured in 18 points to lead Greater Portland Christian to a 49-42 victory over Rangeley.

Greater Portland held a commanding 29-15 advantage at the half and easily hung on to win. Emily Johnson chipped in for Greater Portland (12-2) with 11 points.

The Lakers (9-4) were paced by Nicole Crupi with a game-high 21 points, while Ashley Morton tallied seven and Hayley White added six.

Seacoast 31, Hebron 21

HEBRON – Jaclyn Acres led all players with 14 points as Seacoast Christian topped Hebron 31-21 in a girls’ basketball match-up Tuesday evening.

Lix Trafton added 11 points, while Jessie Bailey chipped in with six to account for all of Seacoast (7-7) scoring.

Sara Powers tallied eight points, while Kainani Stevens scored seven for the Hebron (3-9) effort.

Gray-NG 51, St. Dom’s 36

GRAY – Jen Farynaz paved the way with 23 points, including seven 3-pointers, as Gray-New Gloucester posted a 51-36 triumph over St. Dom’s in a WMC girls’ hoops contest Tuesday.

Farynaz dominated with 10 rebounds and eight assists along with her game-high 23 points. Chelsea Durgin and Olivia Ryan each added 10 points apiece for the Patriots (10-5). GNG held the 25-15 advantage at half and never looked back.

The Saints (10-6) were led by Mary Lewis and Abby Gilbert, who scored eight and seven points, respectively.

Cony 50, Edward Little 27

AUBURN – Cassie Cooper netted 14 points Tuesday to pace Cony to a 50-27 rout over Edward Little in a KVAC girls’ basketball matchup.

Rachel Mack chipped in for the undefeated Rams (15-0) with 10 points, while Shelby Pelkey added nine.

Kelsea Nicolas paced the Red Eddies (5-10) with 11 points, while Kate Dargie added seven. Cony held a 21-7 advantage at the half and was never seriously challenged.

Mt. Ararat 68, Lewiston 31

TOPSHAM – Elaine Emerson poured in 12 points as Mt. Ararat rolled to an easy 68-31 victory over Lewiston in KVAC girls’ basketball Tuesday.

Jess Stahl added 10 points to the win. The Eagles (8-8) Utilizing a strong team defense, the Eagles (8-8) never trailed. Kay Doherty contributed nine points.

The Devils (4-11) were paced by Danielle Willey with 11 points and Mallory Long with 10.

Winslow 68, Oak Hill 28

WINSLOW – Stephanie Bossie poured in 28 points Tuesday to lead Winslow to a 68-28 rout over Oak Hill in KVAC girls’ basketball action.

Winslow led 30-17 after the first half and was never seriously challenged. Katie Pelletier chipped in for Winslow with 12 points in a balanced attack.

The Raiders (1-14) were paced by Emily Sabine with nine points, while Cassie Kupfer added eight.
