The new magazine is all about food.

Relish, a new monthly food magazine dedicated to celebrating America’s love of food, debuts today in the Sun Journal.

Each edition of Relish will include a broad range of timely and insightful articles about food, cooking, entertaining and more. Features will include tested recipes, useful cooking tips and techniques, healthy cooking ideas and the latest in gadgets.

The magazine will also include recipes from readers, as well as the occasional account of a party or gathering titled “Supper Club.”

“Our readers are interested in food and cooking. It’s obvious from the popularity of the Taste of Home Cooking School here every year, our Cook of the Week column in the Sun Journal and the growing number of great restaurants in our area,” said Steve Costello, vice president of advertising and marketing for the Sun Journal. “And we’ve found that the interest in food and cooking crosses all age groups and other demographics in our area.

“We feel this magazine, unlike some others out there, offers the features, foods, recipes and tips that our readers are most interested in, in an inviting, approachable way,” Costello said.

Relish is a spinoff of a popular feature running in the magazine American Profile, which the Sun Journal began offering late last summer. Relish will be inserted into the Sun Journal on the first Friday of each month.
