AUBURN – Junior forward Joe Bonneau recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead St. Dom’s to a 60-46 win over Sacopee Valley in WMC boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Saints (7-9) went on an 8-0 run at the opening gun and never looked back. Senior guard Justin Richardson contributed 12 points for the Saints.

Sophomore forward Sean Foster paced the Hawks (1-13) with four field goals and five free throws for 13 points.

Gould 57, Averill 23

BETHEL – Junior guard Evan Bruens notched 11 points in a balanced attack as Gould ran off with a 57-23 victory over Averill in boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Huskies (5-7) jumped out to a 23-1 lead in the first quarter. Junior forward Ian Siekman connected for five field goals to tally 10 points in the winning effort.

Cory Graves was the leading scorer for Averill (2-9) with eight points.

G-NG 35, Lake Region 31

GRAY – Josh Levasseur scored eight points to help Gray-New Gloucester to a 35-31 win against Lake Region in boys’ basketball Friday.

Chris Bennett drained a pair of foul shots in the final seconds to help seal the victory for Gray-New Gloucester. The Patriots went on a 16-0 run in the first half that turned a 10-3 deficit into a 19-10 lead. Tyler Blanchard chipped in with seven for Gray.

Todd Shigo scored a game-high 13 points for Lake Region.

Gardiner 42, Oxford Hills 34

GARDINER – Sophomore forward Mike Lavallee drained 15 points to lead Gardiner to a 42-34 win over Oxford Hills in boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Tigers (13-3) lost some of their steam in the third quarter to enter the final frame tied at 32-32. But Gardiner limited the Vikings (8-8) to one field goal, while accumulating singles from the charity stripe down the stretch.

Senior center Chris McVety recorded a game-high 18 points on seven field goals and four free throws for Oxford Hills.

Rangeley 64, North Haven 52

RANGELEY – David Jensen dropped in a game-high 37 points to power Rangeley to a 64-52 victory over North Haven in a boys’ basketball matchup Friday.

Daron Philbrick was the second leading scorer for Rangeley (11-4) with eight. Ansel Orne scored 17 points, while Ben Lovell pitched in with 10 for North Haven.

Cony 47, Lewiston 46

AUGUSTA – Sophomore forward Andrew Pullen scored a sizzling 26 points to aid Cony in a 47-46 nail-biter over Lewiston in KVAC boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Blue Devils (9-7) had a 26-19 halftime lead. Junior guard Abdi Abdi had a team-high 13 points, while junior forward Jared Turcotte drained 11 points and senior center Joe Stachowiak collected 10 points.

The Rams were trailing by one with 13.5 seconds remaining in regulation when Nate Eldridge tossed a pair of free throws to take the lead, and Lewiston was unable to recover.

MCI 63, Oak Hill 28

PITTSFIELD – Erick Sobey scored 13 points to help MCI to a 63-28 victory over Oak Hill in boys’ basketball action.

Andrew Tracy also scored 13 points for MCI (12-4). MCI held Oak Hill (0-16) to just 10 points at halftime.

Hockey

Win-Dale 7, Old Town 3

BREWER – Sam Frost scored four goals and had two assists to lead Win-Dale to a 7-3 victory over Old Town in hockey action Friday.

Mike Fleischmann added a goal and three assists for Win-Dale (9-4). The Icedogs outshot Old Town 45-13.

Jason Smith scored two goals back-to-back in the second period for Old Town (2-12).
