WATERVILLE – The wedding of Kathleen (Kate) Laurie Phair and Chad Lee LeVasseur was held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 3 at Sacred Heart Church in Waterville. The Rev. Paul Dumais officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. LeVasseur is the daughter of Stephen and Shannon Phair of Oakland, and the late Doreen Phair. Mr. LeVasseur is the son of Diane and Harold Wyman of Turner, and Norman and Angela LeVasseur of Westbrook.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Kimberly Soucy, cousin, was maid of honor, and Kathryn Sarracino, best friend, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Luanna Phair, sister-in-law, Breanna Phair, niece, Carla Phair, sister-in-law, Erin Kretchman, friend, Meghan Ferriter and Keiran Wrigley, stepsisters, and Mrs. Ryan Holland, stepsister. Jessica LeVasseur, sister of the bridegroom, and Victoria Phair, niece of the bride, were flower girls.

Best men were Nicholas Healy and Machaon Stevens, and ushers were Ian and Patrick Phair, brothers of the bride, and Christopher Hansen, Andy Kohr and Christopher Miksis, friends. Christopher Phair, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the VFW Hall in Winslow, after which the couple traveled to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. They are residing in Yarmouth.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Messalonskee High School, and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine. She is a maternity nurse at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Leavitt Area High School, and received his associate degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island. He is a sous chef at the Royal River Grill in Yarmouth.
