SABATTUS – Gary and Jeannette LaBonte of Sabattus are thrilled to announce the engagement of their son, Scott LaBonte, to Rebecca Thibodeau, daughter of Jeff and Laura Thibodeau of Southwest Harbor.
Miss Thibodeau is a 2001 graduate of Mount Desert Island High School and will be graduating in May from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in food science and nutrition.
Mr. LaBonte is a 2001 graduate of Oak Hill High School and a 2003 graduate of Northern Maine Technical College. He works as a diesel technician for Fleet Truck in Greene.
The couple will be wed on Sept. 2 at St. Ignatious Church in Northeast Harbor.
