Prom fashions

FARMINGTON – A 2006 Prom Fashion Show will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Mt. Blue High School auditorium. The show will be based on the prom theme, “An Evening in Paris,” and will be feature prom fashions on stage with participating businesses: The Outskirts, Carousel Crafts and Wears and Wares Consignment Shop. Tickets are $2 a person.

Club supper

FARMINGTON – The Farmington Ski Club will hold a spaghetti supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at the base lodge at Titcomb Mountain.

The supper will consist of spaghetti, salad, rolls, homemade pies and beverage.

The public is welcome. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. The ski lifts will be open until 9 p.m.

Society speaker

FARMINGTON – The Sandy River Valley Chapter, Maine Genealogical Society, will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Farmington Public Library. Ron Mitchell will talk about the “Early History of Temple, Maine.” Anyone with an interest in genealogy is welcome.

Extension meet

CHESTERVILLE – The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Town Office. The topic will be “Growing and Cooking with Herbs” led by Melissa Knowles. The public is invited. For more information, call 778-3156.

The Homemakers met at the Town Office on Jan. 10 when Carol Boynton led a meeting concerning traveling safely in the winter. For information on the topic, contact the local American Red Cross or county Extension Office.
