PORTLAND – The Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs presented the Oxford County Fair with the Most Improved Small Fair Award at its annual conference on Jan. 27 and 28 in Portland.
There were many directors and members of the Oxford County Agricultural Society in attendance to receive the award.
The Oxford County Fair received the award for all the improvements made to the fairgrounds and activities hosted in 2005.
More improvements are planned this year, starting with an improved midway, additional parking and larger events areas. The Oxford County Agricultural Society will host its 161st fair on Sept. 13 to 16.
