LEWISTON – A surprise party was held recently for Maurice and Constance Begin of Lewiston, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Party hosts were children of the couple, Dan Begin, Cathy Foley and Pamela Boudreau Kemp and the event was held at Joseph by the Sea Restaurant in Old Orchard Beach.
Table centerpieces and others flowers were arranged by Cathy Foley. Dan Begin was the toastmaster. A collage of photographs was displayed.
Mr. Begin and the former Constance Dionne were married on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 1955, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.
Mr. Begin was employed at Knapp Shoe in Lewiston for more than 30 years. Mrs. Begin enjoyed a career in operating room nursing at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston for more than 30 years.
Many friends and family joined in the celebration from as far away as California to as close as their hometown of Lewiston.
