LEWISTON – The wedding of Catherine Bradley Buck Booker and Michael H. Olver, Petty Officer First Class, USN, was held at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the Bates College Chapel in Lewiston. The ceremony was performed by Bryan M. Dench, Esq., a friend of the family.

Julia Lane of Round Pond, provided the traditional Celtic music on her Celtic harp, and sang “The Lord’s Prayer A Cappella.” The couple left the church to the music of bagpiper, Sue Mack. A reception followed at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester.

Mrs. Olver is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary E. Lough of Poland and James B. Booker of Bristol Mills. Mr. Olver is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy M. Olver of Olean, N.Y.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a satin strapless gown and carried a bouquet of Calla lilies, Bells of Ireland, chartreuse chrysanthemums and delphiniums.

Long-time friends of the bride, Jacqueline T. Witham and Jessie D. Maher, were matron of honor and maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sage V. Witham and Taylor J. Witham. Riley E. Sullivan, neighbor of the bride, was the flower girl.

Terry Stange, Chief Petty Officer, USN, performed the duties of best man, and ushers were Jeremy Soloman, Third Class Petty Officer, USN and Chris Nadeau, Second Class Petty Officer, USN. Anthony J. Olver, son of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Westbrook High School and attended Murray State University, Murray, Ky.

The bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Allegany Central High School, Allegany, N.Y., and joined the U.S. Navy in October of 1994.

The couple is residing in Lisbon.
