PARIS – The Norway-Paris Kiwanis and Right Start invite residents to join in the fun at the Kiwanis yearly winter breakfast on Saturday, March 4, at the Paris Fire Station.

The breakfast is a special fundraiser to increase money given to the Right Start reading program for children in the Oxford Hills area.

Right Start is one of many children’s projects and scholarships the local Kiwanis organization supports yearly. The full country breakfast will be served at the fire station at 137 Western Ave. from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4. Cost for adults and children over 12 is $6; age 12 and under, free. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The first week of March concludes the national Read Across America program and celebrates Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Joining the celebration Saturday will be a live Cat in the Hat, Zak the Monkey, Tigger and Donald Duck. The characters will visit, eat with the children and be available for photos.

The featured event will include the quarterly Right Start Book Swap, when each child brings their old books and swaps them for other books. All children will receive one new book and a chance to win one of six prizes.
