LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met Feb. 20 at Murray Hall with 32 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting and Mary Groleau led the group as they sang “America” in observance of Presidents Day.

The sick list included Jeannette Buck, Emile Richards and Shirley Toncer. A guest, Kenny Smith, brought his popcorn machine and provided seniors with free popcorn. A card was received and read from Cindy Hebert, who thanked the group for their contribution for the Friendship Club.

This was the last day to sign up for the monthly meal from SeniorsPlus on Feb. 27. The 12:30 p.m. meal will consist of pork with gravy, parsley potato, carrots and turnips, wheat bread and cookies.

The 50-50 was won by Dora Slovak and two donated items were won by Joe Slovak and Theresa Bilodeau. The meeting was adjourned, after which members held the monthly game of beano and had an assortment of pastries in observance of the day.
