Imagine my relief when I saw in the back pages of the Sun Journal an article about a couple congressmen investigating oil companies. Seems they’re concerned about the evil Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez giving low-cost or free heating oil to poor people in the U.S. and want to see if it’s illegal. Heaven forbid any of our elected officials do a real investigation into the obscene profits reaped by the big oil companies ripping off people at the pumps.

Oh yeah, I remember now, the prices are high because of taxes. Guess that explains the billions of dollars in new oil profits.
