YARMOUTH – The wedding of Alana Rose DeSanctis and David Cyr McCurdy was held at 5 p.m. on Aug. 12 at Sacred Heart Church in Yarmouth. The Rev. Raymond Picard officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. McCurdy is the daughter of Angelo and Marguerite DeSanctis of Durham. Mr. McCurdy is the son of David and Carmen McCurdy of South Gardiner.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory satin gown with crystal beading and carried a dozen ivory roses with coffee bean greens and pearls.

Angela M. Lupardo was matron of honor for her sister, and bridesmaids were Alissa McCurdy, sister of the bridegroom, Jessica Allen, friend of the bride, and Lindsay Wall-Schwenneker, cousin of the bride. Flower girls were Caroline Littlefield, cousin of the bride, and Julia Schneider, friend of the bride.

Matthew Swain, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man, and ushers were Marcus Emerson, Jon Robertson, Matthew Barrett and Michael Mundell, friends of the bridegroom. Brandon Case, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Commons at Pineland Center in New Gloucester, after which the couple traveled to Las Vegas, Nev. They are residing in Gardiner.

The bride received a degree in business administration from Andover College and is employed at T.D. Banknorth.

The bridegroom plans to graduate in May from Thomas College in Waterville.
