ORONO – The Twin Cities Swim Team captured fourth place out of 16 teams at the recent Maine State YMCA Meet held at the University of Maine.

Two swimmers qualified for the YMCA National Meet to be held in April at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They are Andrew Brodsky who qualified in the Boys 50-freestyle, and Emily Lewandowski who qualified in the 200-individual medley and the 100-breaststroke. It was a state record in the 200 medley, a time of 2:13.01.

TCST qualified 9 swimmers for the YMCA New England Regional Meet to be held later this month at Brown University in Rhode Island. The qualifiers: Olivia Paione, 100-IM; Samantha Goulette, 100-IM and 50-breast; Michelle Morin, 50-free; Timothy Brodsky, 50- and 100-free; Allison Cary, 50-free; Jessica Stocker, 100-butterfly and 100-backstroke; Andrew Brodsky, 50- and 100-free; Emily Lewandowksi, 200-IM and 100-breast; and Dan Grant, 500-free.

A total of 77 members recorded personal best times at the state meet. TCST relay teams earned the following titles: Boys 10-under 200-medley (Cameron Provencher, Joseph Manduca, Peter Tirabassi, Stephen Lolmaugh); Boys 200-free (David Manduca, Tim Brodsky, Dan Grant, Andrew Brodsky)
