LEWISTON – Bates senior Keelin Godsey earned the 12th All-America honor of his career at the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championsips at St. Olaf college, one day after being named the Division III women’s indoor field Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Godsey’s throw of 64 feet, six inches was over seven feet better than the third-place competitor, but put him behind Wisconsion-Oshkosh senior Robyn Jaroci’s meet-record throw of 68-10.

Godsey recently won the shot put and 20-pound weight events at the Maine and New England Division III championships. His 65-9 best in the weight throw stands second on the national Division III list.

In other action on Friday, Bobcat senior Adam MacBeth made the finals of the 55-meter hurdles race with a preliminary heat time of 7.73 seconds, and Colby College senior thrower Jason Foster broke his own school record by nearly three feet with a toss of 61-feet to take seventh place in the weight throw.

The Division III competition continues today.
