AUBURN – The Auburn Recreation Department is offering two softball leagues for the 2006 season.
There will be a Player’s League for ages 18 and over. Normally, teams play one game per week over a 14-week season. Teams are limited to two home runs per game.
Also offered is the Co-Rec Softball League for women and men ages 18-over. During play, 5 women and 5 men make up the defensive team. Games are played on Sundays. A special meeting will be held April 4 at 6:30 p.m. to determine if the league should be split into two divisions.
Team registration will take place from March 13-24 for those clubs who competed last season. Open registration will be from March 27 to April 7. Rosters must have a minimum of 14 players and a maximum of 20, with a simple majority being Auburn residents. A fee is $200 is required at time of registration. The balance of league fee will be determined later.
