AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department of Central Maine Community College will offer “Professional Presentation Skills” from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28. The cost is $125 and includes materials.

Effective and motivating lectures, meetings, product presentations and speeches require that everyone know their core message; the skilled communicator has predefined his outcome.

Participants will receive instruction in how to read the learning and communication strategies of others and to communicate with maximum effect through balance between body language, voice, words and use of various audiovisual aids.

Participants will learn the art of actually conveying the message, rather than merely presenting contents. The program is designed for managers, supervisors and anyone who needs to make presentations and would like to polish their skills.

The session will be taught by Ken O’Brien, who works with the college to offer classes for the public and custom training programs for businesses. He experience includes more than 15 years as a consultant, and he has served businesses throughout New England with training in customer service, sales, supervision and computers.

To register, contact Jennifer Lyons, Corporate and Community Services at Central Maine Community College, at 755-5280 or e-mail training@cmcc.edu. Visit www.cmcc.edu/training for complete descriptions.
