I recently met, somewhat by accident while on my way back from a break at work, Seth Wescott, who won a gold medal in a snowboardcross event at the recent Winter Olympics. I was quite impressed with his charm and enthusiasm and his down-to-earth, easygoing nature.
He is, without a doubt, a first-class person in my book, and a great example of the best that New England citizens can show to the world at large.
I salute him and wish him well in all his efforts in the future. I am sure that all of you in Maine are very proud of this young man.
Long live snowboarding.
