LEWISTON – The wedding of Rachel M. Cote-Fecteau and David W. Kidder was held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 15 at the Bates College Chapel. Patricia Hackett-Mason, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Kidder is the daughter of Normand and Rita Cote of Lewiston. Mr. Kidder is the son of Doris Kidder of Lewiston and the late Ira Kidder.

The bride, given in marriage by her 12-year-old son, Jason Fecteau, wore a long taupe-colored gown of organza with beading and sequins. She carried a bouquet of burgundy Calla lilies with leonides and unique roses and pepper berries.

Diane Manooshian, childhood friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and Dave Koss, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man.

A reception followed at the Carriage House Plus banquet facility in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to Rangeley and Vermont. A cruise to Alaska is planned this year. The couple is residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a 1973 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 1984 graduate of Westbrook College in Portland, with an associate degree in nursing. She is a staff/resource nurse at Mercy Hospital in Portland.

The bridegroom is a 1965 graduate of Lewiston High School and received a bachelor’s degree in communications arts and science from Curry College in Milton, Mass. He served a five-year apprenticeship program for Local I.B.E.W. #567 and is currently employed at E.S. Boulos Electrical Contractors.
