PARIS – Area residents have been invited to join in the spirit of this year’s One Book One Community theme highlighting the Wonders of the Oxford Hills and enter their own wonder in the discovery contest.

The One Book One Community Committee has invited participants to submit a “wonder” to be displayed at the One Book One Community wrap-up at 7 p.m. Monday, April 3, in the Forum at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Contest entry forms with the details and guidelines are available in area libraries throughout the Oxford Hills. The deadline for registration of entries is Friday, March 27.

The “wonder” must be located in one of the eight towns of the Oxford Hills and may be a person, place or an object. It must be displayed using a visual medium, e.g. photography, video recording, modeling, painting, drawing.

Contest winners will be chosen in three age categories based on People’s Choice voting for the “wonder” that inspires them with the most awe. Winners will receive People’s Choice award ribbons at the end of the evening. All contestants will be eligible to win one of three grand prizes in a raffle drawing of all entries in the age categories.
