Rummage sale

PARIS – The white elephant table will once again be part of the annual spring rummage sale to be held on Saturday, April 1, at the South Paris Universalist Church on Pine Street. Good clean housewares, games, toys and clothes will be available at bargain prices from 9 a.m. to noon.

There will be a bag sale from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. that same day. Big plastic bags will be sold for $1 to be filled with clothes and other items without further charge.

Fish, fir sale

OXFORD – Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District’s tree sale deadline was March 24, but there is still time to order fish for a farm pond or conifers only. The deadline to order conifers is April 21 and the deadline for fish is May 8.

The conifers include balsam fir, Fraser fir, Norway spruce, Colorado blue spruce, white spruce, white pine and American arborvitae.

Those who would like to be placed on the list for next year should contact Heidi Linscott at 743-5789, ext. 101, or go into the office next to the Flagship Cinema, 1570 Main St., Suite 10.

Church meeting

HEBRON – The Hebron Community Baptist Church, Station Road, will host the fellowship of the West Area Association of the American Baptist Churches of Maine on Monday, April 3, with dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Following the business meetings, there will be a program of music with Forest Perkins, chairman of the music department at Hebron Academy, playing the Estey organ and accompanying a hymn sing.

The Korean dinner planned for Sunday, April 2, has been postponed until after Easter. For details, call Pastor Meredith Dalessandro at 966-2694.
