As Peter Frewen’s tenure with the Maine Music Society draws to a close, we want to take a moment to thank him and to note that his presence in Lewiston-Auburn for the past 20 years has been a precious gift to us all.
Frewen’s musical knowledge, background and artistic talent combined with his passion to make every rehearsal and concert an energizing and exciting experience.
He has enriched the Androscoggin Chorale, the Maine Chamber Ensemble, students in the classroom, audiences and the entire community with his musical selections, his program notes and education about the composers and their works. His commitment to achieving a professional level of performance, by both amateurs and trained soloists, is well-known and admired by many.
As former members of the Androscoggin Chorale, we write this letter in appreciation of Peter and in gratitude for his many contributions to music and culture in central Maine.
