AUBURN – The Woman’s Literary Union has announced the spring Book Review Club program, hosted by the After Dark Club. The meetings are set for 6:30 p.m. the second Friday of each month at the WLU Clubhouse located in the Horatio G. Foss Mansion, 19 Elm St.

The main purpose of the literary union is the cultural and intellectual advancement of women. As such, the Book Review Club will continue Friday night meetings year-round. Those attending will be added to the guest list, and each attendee will choose a book on a rotating monthly basis.

The next meeting for the club will be held on April 7. The group will discuss “Memoirs of a Geisha” by Arthur Golden. This meeting only is being held on the first Friday of the month due to the holiday weekend the next week.

On May 12 the group will discuss “My Sister’s Keeper” by Jodi Picoult. Summer tea will be served outdoors on the porch at the June 9 meeting, while the group reviews “The Pilot’s Wife” by Anita Shreve.

Members choosing to attend the Friday night club will be informed of the Woman’s Literary Union main club updates and announcements by e-mail or post if they would like to be added to the mailing list.
