WILTON – The Foothills Arts Center announces the dates of its award-winning summer youth program, the 16th annual Foothills Summer Arts.

Session 1, July 10 to 14, is for students who are now in grades four through six. Session 2, July 17 to 21, is for students who are now in grades seven through 12.

In workshops in art, theater, writing, creative movement and music, participants will create their own original scenes, dances, songs, stories and 2-D and 3-D art.

The theme for 2006 is “Many Faces – One World.” Teachers and participants will explore the richness of the world’s cultures and discover how much they have in common. Professional artist-teachers come from all over Maine to teach. All levels of ability and experience are welcome.

The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Academy Hill School. The full tuition is $150. The center offers reduced fees for families who cannot afford the full fee.

These reduced fees are made possible by a 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, a sponsorship donation from Franklin Savings Bank, and other generous donations from local businesses and individuals.
