Church events

EAST WILTON – The Union Church will show “The Passion of the Christ” at 6 p.m. Palm Sunday, April 9. On Good Friday, April 14, at 7 p.m. there will be a service with special music, “The Cross and the Lord’s Table.”

On Easter Sunday, April 16, members will be joined by Calvery Hill Baptist at Wilson Lake for a sunrise service followed by breakfast at the church.

At 10:45 a.m. there will be a celebration of praise with special music by the choir and several individual songs of praise and worship. For more information, call 645-4297.

Easter observance

FARMINGTON – Pilgram Commandery 19 will hold its annual Easter observance at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 16, at the Masonic Hall. Members, sons and grandsons are invited.

Auction set

FARMINGTON – A public auction will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the UMF North Dining Hall to benefit the educational programs that Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District sponsors.

Trees for sale

FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District, through its shrub sale, has a few apple, pear and peach trees left as well as blueberry, blackberry, cranberry, rhubarb, lilac, weigela and hosta. For more information, call the office at 778-4279. Orders will be taken until May 1. The pick-up date is Friday, May 5, between 1 and 5 p.m.
