FARMINGTON – The Colonial Daughters Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolutions, met on March 28, at the Old South Congregational Church to present the annual Good Citizenship Awards to seven area high school seniors.

The awards went to Abigal Maderia, Rangeley High School; Karina Parrett, Mt. Abram High School; Samantha Jewell, Mt. Blue High School; Ashlee Brooks, Jay High School; Jessica Lynn Brown, Livermore Falls High School; Holly Marie Knight, Dirigo High School; and Christopher Brennick, Mountain Valley High School.

Regent Theo Walker assisted committee Chairwoman Loraine Norton in presenting each student with a pin, certificate, check and a book about DAR history. Knight won the essay and read her essay. The students and their invited guests, parents, teachers and principals, were served a potluck luncheon.
