AUBURN – The wedding of Rachel Marie Laganiere and Anthony Michael Gravel was held at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 13 at the home of the couple in Auburn. Sandy Lane, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Gravel is the daughter of Carmen Laganiere of Auburn. Her father is deceased. Mr. Gravel is the son of Fern Gravel and June Guay of Lewiston.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother. She wore a tea-length strapless gown of white chiffon trimmed in white satin and she carried a dozen giant white Calla lilies tied with a white satin ribbon, as her mother had on her wedding day. Following the ceremony, the mother of the bride was presented a gold wedding band symbolizing love and family unity from the couple.

Witnesses were James Roberts and Roger L’Italien, friends.

A reception followed at the home of the couple, with a family-style barbecue. A cruise is planned in the future.

The bride is a graduate of Edward Little High School and received an associate degree in dental hygiene from Westbrook College. She is employed at Great Falls Dental Associates.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Lewiston High School and is employed at Roland’s Drywall.
