Tourney is planned

SOUTH PORTLAND – The Prime Motor Group, and owner Ira Rosenberg and his wife, Judy, have once again agreed to be the major sponsor for the 17th annual Sweetser Golf Classic slated for Monday, June 26.

This year’s tourney will be held at Sable Oaks Golf Club in South Portland. It will feature trick shot artist Kevin Compare. Golfers interested in registering should contact Krisen Crean at 294-4485, or kcrean@sweetser.org.

Last year’s tourney raised almost $50,000 for Sweetser and helped the mental health organization rebuild a barn that had been destroyed by fire in 2004. “Ira Rosenberg said he’s confident this year’s event will raise even more money. “I’ve been involved with a wide range of charities for many, many years,” he said, “and this is one of the most worthwhile. They really help these kids, and families all over Maine. It’s an honor to be associated with them.”

The Sweetser campus in Saco includes several residential facilities for children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who require comprehensive and individualized support. More information can be obtained by visiting www.sweetser.org.
