Benefit supper

LOCKE MILLS – A benefit supper will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Locke Mills Legion Hall for Robert Hinkley Jr. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children; age 3 and under, free. Proceeds will help defray medical expenses.

Spring fling

OXFORD – A spring fling dance will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Oxford Recreation Building, King Street, to benefit the Norway/Paris Lions Club. Music will be provided by Stormy playing a mix. Cost is $10 a person. There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Tickets are available at Parts and Pieces, Oxford, and at the door.

Rummage sale

WEST PARIS – An indoor rummage sale will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 24, 25 and 26, at the Ledgeview Living Center activity room. It will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. All proceeds will benefit the resident council.

Tryouts set

SOUTH PARIS – Auditions and tryouts will be held for the musical “Grease,” open to local students in the fifth through 12th grade. There are more than 20 speaking parts and more than 10 nonspeaking parts.

The performance will be under the direction of Troy Mills, who has directed the musical several time before. Tryouts will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at the South Paris American Legion Hall, Church Street. Parents are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Mills at 739-6069.

Bean supper

OXFORD – A benefit supper will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Grace Fellowship Church. Proceeds will help defray medical expenses for Zachary Westgate, son of Robert and Cindy Westgate of Minot. Zachary was born with urinary blockage.

The menu will be baked beans with homemade pies. The cost will be $6 adults and $3 for children. Donations can be made to the Zachary Westgate Medical Benefit at Key Bank, 600 Center St., Auburn, ME 04210. For more information, call 539-9064.

Open house

OTISFIELD – An open house will be held in honor of Lenny Adler from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at the town office on Route 121. Adler is retiring after 30 years of municipal service. The public is welcome.

Items needed

BETHEL – Donations are being solicited for the Bethel Historical Society’s annual St. Never’s Day sale on Saturday, May 27. Items in good saleable condition (no clothing or computers) can be left on the back porch of the O’Neil Robinson House, 10 Broad St., and the side porch of Stan Howe at 18 Broad St. For pick-up of items, call the society office at 824-2908.
