AUBURN – Paul G. Caron is music director for Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre’s “A Night at the Tonys – in Concert!” on Saturday and Sunday, April 22 and 23, at Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy St.

Caron, fresh from musical directing “Grand Hotel” and “Lewiston – A New Home,” is well known in theater circles as a composer, lyricist, actor and director. He also directed last season’s CLT production of “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Directing the two-day event is Tim Pinkham, also well known at CLT. He directed “Meshuggah Nuns” and has appeared in many CLT musicals over the years. The weekend variety show will have old standards to songs from Tony award winning musicals spanning the past five decades. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the theater’s endowment fund.

“A Night at the Tonys – in Concert!” will feature many of the veteran performers in CLT musicals and also has new performers stepping in. Included in the cast are Ron Bouffard, Renee Davis, Steve Dupont, Duane Glover, Doris Langlais, Michael Litchfield, Michelle Mahon, Eileen Messina, Mitchell Clyde Thomas and Rhonda Trask

Songs will be sung from the following shows, which include “Guys and Dolls,” ” My Fair Lady,” “Damn Yankees,” “The Music Man,” “Cabaret,” “A Chorus Line,” “Chicago,” “The Producers,” “Hair Spray,” “Rent,” “42nd Street,” “Miss Saigon” and “City of Angels.”

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $20 and may be reserved by calling the box office at 783-0958 or accessing the theater’s Web site at www.laCLT.com. Culinary art students at Central Maine Community College will offer an array of desserts.
