Musical worship

PARIS – “Worship with Music” will be the focus of the worship service at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, on Sunday, April 23. The 10 a.m. service will include music by the choir, Renee Wales and Forest Perkins, church organist.

The Sunday school will be in session and child care will be provided.

The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Chinese auction

SOUTH PARIS – A Chinese auction will be held Saturday, April 29, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School to benefit the Responsible Pet Care Shelter of Oxford Hills. Bidding will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and drawing of winners will be at 6:30 p.m. Cost for tickets is 10 for $2.50. There will be more than 200 items. Food and refreshments will be available.

Country show

NORWAY – The Down East Country Music Association will hold a show from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Charlie’s Entertainment Center on Main Street. All proceeds will benefit Sandi W. to help defray medical expenses.

There will be a Chinese auction, 50/50, raffles and food. Cost for adults is $5 and children under 12, $2.50. For more information, call Shirley at 743-2922.

Welcome home

WEST PARIS – A welcome home party will be held for Richard Smith, son of Roger and Beverly Kay Smith, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at the Finnish American Heritage Hall, Maple Street. Smith has returned from duty in Iraq.
