BRUNSWICK – Derek Doucette pitched four innings of perfect relief with six strikeouts to lead the Edward Little Red Eddies to a 10-4 victory over Brunswick in a baseball matchup Friday.

Justin Ciszewski hit a two-run double in the first, while catcher Matt Meserve had two doubles, including a three-run double in the sixth to help Edward Little (1-1) pull away from the Dragons.

Sam Feldman had two hits and a pair of runs scored for Brunswick (1-1).

Dirigo 9, Livermore Falls 4

LIVERMORE FALLS – Spencer Berry hit a two-run home run in the second inning to help himself to the win on the mound as Dirigo cruised past Livermore Falls 9-4 in an MVC matchup on Friday.

Jon Smith scored a pair of runs and pitched two innings in relief for the Cougars (1-0), and Dakota Holman hit a double.

Mike Durrell took the loss for the Andies (0-2).

Morse 7, Mt. Blue 3

BATH – Steve Hall had two hits, with two RBIs and a double to lead Morse to a 7-3 victory over Mt. Blue in a baseball game Friday.

Mt. Blue’s only lead was in the top of the second when Joe Gilbert hit a two-run single to make it 2-1.

Morse (2-0) came back with three in the third and two in the fourth to pull away from the Cougars.

Adam Gilbert and Steve Wells each had two hits for Mt. Blue (1-1) in the loss.

Oak Hill 15, Lincoln 13

NEWCASTLE – Josh Jillson had two hits, including a triple and six RBIs, to lead Oak Hill to a 15-13 victory over Lincoln in baseball action on Friday.

The two teams combined for 30 hits in the game. Oak Hill’s (1-1) Eric Daniels had five hits, including a double and a pair of RBIs.

Lincoln had a five-run lead after a second-inning grand slam off the bat of Brent Moran, but the Raiders came back with six runs in the top of the third. Ryan Parlin had a solo home run and two hits for Lincoln (1-1).

Jay 6, Mt. Abram 4

JAY – Mike Holland had three hits and scored a run to power Jay to a 6-4 win against Mt. Abram in an MVC baseball matchup.

Nick Bourassa hit a double and then scored on a single by Rocky DeSanctis in the bottom of the fifth to put Mt. Abram (0-1) away.

Travis Langdon belted a two-run homer in the second for Mt. Abram that tied the game at 2-2, but Jay (2-0) scored one run in each of the last four innings to get the win.

Oxford Hills 8, Leavitt 2

TURNER – Oxford Hills scored three runs in the third inning and slowly pulled away for an 8-2 victory over Leavitt in a baseball game Friday.

After the Vikings (1-1) had taken a 1-0 lead in the first, Leavitt lead-off hitter Tyler Angell belted a home run to tie the game. Oxford Hills took command in the third when Chris Jennings knocked in two runs and Ben Ryerson had another for a 4-1 lead.

Jennings and Alex Waite had three hits apiece for the Vikings. Justin Rouillard and Nick Letourneau led Leavitt with two hits each.

Ryerson and relievers Chris Roy and Waite combined for a seven-hitter.

Mt. Ararat 4, Lewiston 3

LEWISTON – Jordan Bichrest fanned 13 batters in a complete game five-hitter, and Mt. Ararat survived a seventh-inning scare for a 4-3 victory over Lewiston in baseball.

Brandon Wyman had a pair of singles while Jaime Reilly and Kyle McPherson each clubbed a double for the Eagles (1-1), who picked up three runs on errors in the first inning.

Jon Paradis hit an RBI double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh for the Blue Devils (1-1), but the game ended on a flyout to center field.
