AUBURN – Brad and Cindy Sloat of Auburn are announcing the engagement of their son, Andrew Bradford Sloat of Westbrook, to Rita Theresa Rix, daughter of Bill and Gwen Rix of Wells.
Miss Rix is a 2003 graduate of Marshwood High School and is attending the University of Southern Maine, majoring in linguistics. Mr. Sloat graduated in 2000 from Edward Little High School and from Hebron Academy in 2001. He will be graduating from USM in May and is employed by TD Banknorth.
An Aug. 4 wedding will be held at Spring Hill Lodge in South Berwick.
