BRUNSWICK – The Theater Project will produce Noel Coward’s famous comedy, “Blithe Spirit” in May.

The show opens Friday, May 5, and closes Sunday, May 21. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8 p.m.; Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m., and Thursday performances are at 7:30 p.m.

“Blithe Spirit” tells the mysterious tale of Charles Condomine’s household, visited one night by his former wife.

Director Christopher Price said, “The actors are having a great time working with this script. The plot is fun, with some bizarre twists, but the real delight is the witty British dialogue, of which Coward was a master.”

The cast includes several newcomers to The Theater Project stage. Mark Honan, a regular with Portland Stage Company, plays Charles Condomine. Debbie Paley is his wife Ruth. Theater Project regular Michele Livermore Wigton is Madame Arcati, the strange and delightful fortune teller. Lisa Muller-Jones, Liz Chambers, Mark Brann and Young Company veteran Kate Bell-Hart complete the cast. JP Gagnon is the lighting designer and Wendy Poole is designing the costumes.

Another Young Company veteran, Karin Baard, is stage managing the show.

The Theater continues its pay-what-you-want policy with a recommended ticket price of $15.
